 Cherry Valley Joint Planning Board Meeting Notes

October 18, 2024

7:00pm Community Room at the Old School

Meeting was called to order    7:00 pm.  By F. McGrath, Secretary

1. Roll Call:   (Exc) Cierra Utter,  (X) Dave Cornelia, (X)  Ellen LaSalle,  (Abs) Bill Compton,  (X) Frank McGrath

DUE TO LACK OF A QUORUM, LIMITED DISCUSSION ENSUED, BUT NOT MOTION OR OFFICIAL ACTION COULD BE TAKEN.

Guests:  None

2.  Review of last month’s Planning Board Minutes:   Tabled

3.  Communications:  Tabled

4.  New Business:  

*Discussion regarding buildable lots and letters from Schater bad Birch regarding signing a letter designation discussed lots as unbuildable.  Discussion focused on the specifics of the Land Use Law outlining requirements for a “buildable” lot.  The idea of signing a letter was deemed unnecessary since the requirements are plain as outlined.

*Recognition that the planning board needs to fill open seats in order to regularly conduct official business.  The town has been informed as per the by-laws

5.  Old Business:  Carson Power solar project:  The town board was notified that Carson Power requested the Article 78 action be paused so litigants could have the chance to work out a solution without the need to continue the Article 78.  The town will keep the planning board informed as to the progress of this proposal.
